Our business is a partnership between two passionate individuals, Adriaan Basson and Irvin Sammons.

Adriaan, a lecturer and scientist with a PHD in Biochemistry, having a life long love for the crafts, he started crafting in December 2020. Starting with designs created by a Cricut machine, he soon expanded his repertoire to include art journaling, mixed media, jewelry making with resin and clay, and now paper crafts. Adriaan brings his creative vision and knowledge of the crafting world to the table, ensuring that our products are of the highest quality and cater to a variety of crafting needs.

Irvin, on the other hand, has been running a successful plant nursery called Staghorn and Pitcher since December 2020, as well as another company called The Local Market with his business partner. The Local Market runs craft markets in and around Johannesburg and Randburg, and Irvin brings his entrepreneurial skills and love for businesses to the partnership. He ensures that our business runs smoothly and that our customers have the best shopping experience possible.

The idea to start The Crafters Boutique came naturally to the two partners, with Adriaan’s passion for crafting and Irvin’s love for business. Together, they make a dynamic team that strives to provide customers with a wide range of crafting supplies and products at affordable prices.
