Tjhoko Clear Glaze is a clear non-toxic water-based acrylic sealant that is clear. It can be used on its own to make painted surfaces water- and UV-resistant or use it in combination with Tjhoko paints and decoupage sheets.
How do I use Tjhoko Clear Glaze?
- In a separate container, decant 100 ml glaze and add 30 ml of cold boiled water. Mix well.
- Wet a clean cloth (e.g., mutton cloth) in water and squeeze out the water. You want the cloth only to be damp, not wet.
- Dip the cloth on the diluted glaze and squeeze to remove the excess.
- Apply the glaze evenly over the painted surface by wiping in one direction. More than one coat can be applied in 30 minutes intervals. For objects exposed to direct sunlight, it is best to apply three coats of glaze.
- Wash your hands during and immediately after with warm soapy water.
Note: Allow painted surfaces to dry at least 4 hours before applying the glaze.
